Michael is a Partner in the Private Client Department and qualified as a Solicitor in 2003. Previously, he was a Barrister practising in both Criminal and Civil Litigation. Michael has experience in Family Law and Wills and Probate. He has a broad understanding of matters such as trusts and tax that often fall to be considered during the course of a divorce. Michael has retained his Higher Rights of Audience and often conducts his own advocacy.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Michael worked within his family business and was involved in various legal questions concerning the business culminating in a visit to the Court of Appeal in a reported Civil Law case. Later he ran his own business marketing cosmetics for sale both in the United Kingdom and for export to the Middle East and the emerging Eastern European states.
Michael deals with all aspects of Family Law including divorce and finances. The breakdown of civil partnerships, co-habitation disputes and matters affecting children upon the breakdown of a relationship.
Outside the office he enjoys cross-country running with his dog and has an interest in his classic car when it is working.
