Whilst our fees cover the usual full Will service we may charge additionally for exceptional matters such as letters to third parties or Home/Hospital visits. These costs will be discussed and agreed with you before any work is undertaken.
Our fee includes registration of your Will with Certainty National Wills Register and future storage of your Will. Please note that VAT at a rate of 20% is payable on our fees and disbursements.
Our service usually involves two meetings. At our first meeting we will discuss your family and financial background to ensure that all relevant factors are considered. Most importantly, we will discuss your precise wishes in regard to your Will. Our aim is to provide you with a draft Will for approval within 7 working days. Once you are happy with the draft provided, a second meeting is arranged for you to attend the office to sign the Will. On completion within 7 working days we will supply you with a copy of the Will and the relevant paperwork for the Certainty National Will registration.
Providing we have all your instructions, we estimate that the timescale from the initial meeting to executing the Will to be between 2 and 4 weeks. If you require a Will to be completed with greater urgency, please inform us accordingly.
There are two types of Lasting Power of Attorney one that covers Property and Financial decisions and one that covers Health and Welfare decisions

Our fee includes future storage of your LPA.
In addition to our fees stated above, there is a registration fee payable to the Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) which is £82 per LPA. This fee may be either reduced or exempt in certain circumstances.

Once you are happy with the draft provided, a second meeting will be arranged to complete signing formalities. We will then arrange for your Attorneys to also sign the documents. We will complete the formality of registering the document on your behalf at the Office of the Public Guardian.
Providing we have all your instructions, we estimate that the preparation of your LPA from the initial meeting to executing the LPA to be between 2 and 4 weeks
Once the LPA has been fully signed by all parties and you have put us in funds with the Court Registration fee we will within 7 working days submit the registration application to the Office of the Public Guardian. The Court's timescale for dealing with the registration application is typically 6-8 weeks (which includes the Court's statutory registration period). Once the registered document is returned by the Court we will provide you with a copy within 7 working days.

If you simply require us to extract the Grant of probate on your behalf then we are pleased to offer a fixed fee service.

Subject to receipt of full information we anticipate receiving the Grant of probate in around 4 weeks.
Usual disbursements involved in applying for a Grant of probate such as Probate Court fees and swear fees.
Alternatively, if you prefer to take advantage of our full estate administration service we can handle the full process from start to conclusion
2% of the value of the estate plus VAT subject to a minimum fee of £2,500 plus VAT. We will be pleased to discuss the exact cost as this may depend on the individual circumstance of the matter.
We aim to extract the Grant within 6 to 8 weeks of instruction. Completion of the full administration typically takes around 6 months although where there is a property to sell or inheritance tax to settle for instance the timescale is likely to be between 6 and 12 months.
Whilst our fees cover the usual full estate administration service we may charge additionally for exceptional matters such as dealing overseas assets, searching for missing beneficiaries; handling claims against and estate and dealing with any faults in a Will. These costs will be discussed and agreed with you before any work is undertaken.
In addition we will be pleased to discuss tax planning opportunities which may lead to additional work such as preparation of a Deed of Variation.
